Ongoing 3D projects

In November 2020, I started learning 3D professionally in my free time, to be able to create the ideas I have for musical instruments.
Here are some of the ongoing projects. More info coming soon.

M-Audio Axiom 49 redesign

Axiom 49 is a discontinued midi controller made by M-Audio. It was a great controller because it had all the needed features (weighted-keys, knobs, pads, faders, navigation buttons), but there was something bothering me with the design. The fat rounded plastic shape and the huge unused areas made it look cheap and outdated. So I decided to redesign it to a compact, retro style midi controller - adding wooden bars on the sides, sharpening the edges and minimizing the unnecessary empty areas.

I've managed to reduce the height by 20% so now it can fit on my computer table. The only thing left is to create one for real :)

Schecter Stargazer redesign

I think Schecter Stargazer is the most missed opportunity in the guitar world. It was created by Schecter Guitars, was manufactured for few years and then discontinued, possibly due to lack of interest. In my opinion it had the potential to be one of the most beautiful guitars ever made. The shape was perfect, but everything else wasn't. So I decided to create my own version.
So I started modeling. The guitar shape was resembling a vintage 60s style guitar, so I replaced the bridge with a classic Bigsby vibrato, and decided to make the guitar semi-hollow. I also made a hand-written logo that followed the headstock curve.

Parallax depth illusion

A concept I created using parallax.js for collaboration with an artist who specializes in papercut style illustration and creates depth illusions in his work using shadows. The first thing came to my head when I saw his work is to suggest him to make his art interactive online, so that the observers can get the same feel as if they are standing in front of the actual physical piece and moving their head to see the depth.

Gyro UX for Google Maps

An idea I had for Google maps to add a 3D depth feel using the phone's gyroscope

Athena

Back in 2011, during the 2nd year of my studies, we had a basic 3D course. It was only 14 lessons and in the end of it, the final project was to make a keychain. I had a childhood dream to be a car designer. I said: Keychain? I'm building a car!
I even branded it
